Ramesh Chand, of West Hartford, was arrested in South Windsor on Friday, March 14, just before 2:30 a.m., according to police.
A passenger called South Windsor police after reporting that Chand asked to use the man's bathroom. After a few minutes, Chand allegedly opened the door and exposed himself while masturbating, authorities said.
Chand later turned himself in to South Windsor police on a charge of disorderly conduct and was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond, authorities said.
Uber said it had banned Chand from using the ride-sharing service.
“The behavior described in this report is deeply disturbing," the statement said. "We removed the driver’s access to the Uber platform as soon as we were made aware, and stand ready to assist law enforcement in their investigation."
